Zombie Cinema Demo Review

Zombie Cinema is a very compelling, and innovative, player driven, storytelling card game based on the movie Night of the Living Dead. It was created by Finnish game designer Euro “”. The demo itself was only about 10 minutes long, enough to set a scene and get the feel of the game. Our character description cards, goals and quirks were helpful, yet vague enough to inspire creativity in the quick character development. Scene by scene, zombies get closer and closer to the players, causing irrational behavior, new and scary developments in the infection, and conflict, all of which is dictated and narrated by the players. Conflict is resolved by a 6 sided dice roll, highest on the dice wins the conflict and gets to narrate how the conflict gets resolved in their favor. The players pieces progress along a board scene by scene, with each new scene bringing in not only character conflict but new and unusual behavior observed in the zombies you are running from.
The demo of this game was very easy to follow as well as get into the spirit of the game. I walked away absolutely amazed at the openness to the game, but also how the board perfectly lays out a wonderful zombie movie. This game instantly shot up on my list to buy, which I did. I will have a full game review once I am able to play out an entire game on www.flamesrising.com. If you are looking for a great game that involves all of your players and creates a wonderful horror setting and dynamic ending, this game is definitely it. I look forward to seeing the future of this game and how it does in the U.S. market.

Welcome

Welcome to my Blogger site. My main goal is to start a diary (aka blog) for all of my reviews, short stories, and advertising/marketing pitches and presentations I find. I have several that I am currently working on from GenCon and will have posted within the next week.
